Returns, Exchanges, Shipping, and all that jazz
Abernathy's is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. We recommend having your shipping address changed to a work address where you can be there to accept your package. All packages that are shipped priority mail (at least $8 shipping) will include $50 insurance. If you would like your package to be insured for more, please contact us directly about adding insurance to your shipment (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Please contact USPS to start an insurance claim using your tracking information provided. If your package status says 'Delivered', the USPS recommends taking these steps:
Carrier may have placed it in a safer location, please check:
- Any area out of potential weather hazards
- Exterior doors and any locations where the package could be placed
- Check your mailbox again as some packages come separately from your regular mail.
- Check with others in your house that may have accepted it.
- In rare cases, package may show as 'delivered' but could take additional 24 hours.
If it has been over 24 hours from the 'delivered' status, to save time a service request may be sent by email to your local Post Office™ facility for follow-up. You will receive a confirmation number and a contact within 2-3 business days.
International packages are experiencing extended shipping times due to Covid-19. Customs and delivery are taking between 4-6 weeks for packages to arrive. Please plan accordingly.
Return and Exchange Policy:
We do not offer returns because of the unique and one-of-a-kind nature of vintage clothing and the other items we carry, but we can always exchange something for you!
An exchange can be made by bringing the item with or without receipt back to the store, or sending it back (customers pay for return shipping) to:

Customers can exchange for any item of equal or greater value, or receive a giftcard to be used at a later time. Returns are only made in the case of damaged merchandise.
