What the heck is Abernathy's?
We specialize in true vintage clothing for men and women from the 1930's to Y2K, modern vintage reproduction clothing sizes ranging from XXS-6X, alternative and gothic styles, handmade jewelry and art, antiques, oddities, and home decor.

Abernathy's was started in November of 2013 by Becca Nicke and Red Perez. Becca and Red had previously worked managing and vintage and handmade boutique in LeClaire, IA when the pair struck out on their own to create Abernathy's. The two opened their first location on East 2nd Street in downtown Davenport, and built their weird empire there for the first six years. The flood of 2019 brought in 4 feet of water to their building and a lot of new changes. You can now find them at: 432 West 3rd St. Davenport, IA 52801. Open 10-6 Mon-Fri & 10-3 Saturday and closed Sunday, but we're always happy to open by appointment!
Who is Abernathy's?
Our team is made up of our owners, Becca Nicke, and Red Perez, and our super awesome part time staff. Get to know us:
Meet Becca!
She's a badass co-owner with expertise in all things vintage. A metal-loving momma who can quote the entirety of Wayne's World, her infectious laugh echoes through the shop. As an Aries, she's fiercely dedicated and definitely the leader of the pack.
Meet Red!
She's a co-owner here at our shop who also moonlights as an accomplished burlesque performer, Iowa born and raised 
She's a sassy looking, but soft spoken YET hilarious Libra who can be easily won over with snacks and gifts. She grew up on Punk rock but loves Industrial, vintage R&B, and Disco.
Meet Persephone!
She just celebrated her 2 year anniversary at Abernathy's. She is a Cancer with all the feels, loves collecting crystals and dead stuff, and can belt out all the lyrics to your favorite Fall Out Boy Song. When Persephone isn't folding tshirts, she might be slinging caffeine at her other gig, cuddling with her Pomapoo 'Gus', or taking a nap.
Meet Clara!
Clara is our newest addition to our sales team, joining us in Fall of 2023. She is a quirky self proclaimed 'horse girl' who loves to doodle, turn her art into stickers, and can't handle her dairy. If you catch her in the store she's probably enjoying some grape soda, sugar free monster, and working on updating our website with the sickest descriptions and photos.
