You really wanna hear the whole story? Read our fulll HERstory here.

Abernathy's was started in November of 2013 by Becca Nicke and Red Perez. Becca and Red had previously worked managing and vintage and handmade boutique in LeClaire, IA when the pair struck out on their own to create Abernathy's. The two opened their first location on East 2nd Street in downtown Davenport, and built their weird empire there for the first six years. The flood of 2019 brought in 4 feet of water to their building and a lot of new changes. You can now find them at: 432 West 3rd St. Davenport, IA 52801. Open 10-6 Mon-Fri & 10-3 Saturday and closed Sunday, but we're always happy to open by appointment!

Meet Becca!

Becca is a Co-owener at Abernathy's, she's a metal step-mama, karaoke queen, and sassy-ass seamstress. Becca works hard to curate the store's selection of 1930's to mid 1960's true vintage selection. She also does repairs and on site alterations on all instore products.

Meet Red!

Red is a Co-owner at Abernathy's. Red is a jewelry designer, vintage hair stylist, burlesque performer, mama, tattoo collector, and lover of dead stuff and anything macabre. She's known for turning bones into beautiful wearable creations and also manages our 30+ local consignment design team.

Meet Miranda!
Miranda is our resident metal head, boy-mom, creator and painter behind Isabel Doom, and online sales and product managing badass! Miranda's commitment to making sure that all of our local artists are represented online has taken the reach of Quad City art to the next level.

Meet Persephone!

Persephone is the newest addition to our team, but don't get it twisted, because she's been with Abernathy's for the long haul, taking the claim as our 'first in store transaction'! Persephone's passion for fashion, 90's, early 2000's and alt fashion give us inspiration.
